The Thailand Privilege Card is a visa program that offers longevity, ease of use, and exclusive privileges to its members. It bypasses many requirements and restrictions to allow affluent individuals to live in Thailand long-term, whether it be as a holiday destination or their home. The Thailand Privilege Card is managed by the Thailand Privilege Card Company Limited, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
There are multiple different packages that offer varying lengths of visa validity and membership duration. Each tier of the program has its own privilege points that can be exchanged for a range of benefits.
More Choices, More Freedom
With its rebranding, the Thailand Privilege Card now targets four distinct groups: Affluent Investors, Workcation Enthusiasts/Digital Nomads, Expats Living in Thailand, and Retirees. These targeted groups have very different needs, and the new Thailand Privilege Card provides a more flexible and varied membership package to meet those needs.
All membership packages include a full suite of concierge and support services, ranging from immigration assistance to private limousine transfers. The concierge and support services will be provided in English, Korean, Mandarin, and Japanese (with additional languages to come). The new card also comes with access to a 24-hour call center, an online member portal, and the option of a personal liaison who can help with all aspects of life in Thailand.
In addition to the concierge and support services, all membership packages come with a wide variety of privileges. These privileges range from discounted shopping at countless participating stores and restaurants to free Thai boxing classes and golfing experiences. The most popular benefit of all, however, is the airport service. With the Elite Ultimate Privilege card, members can enjoy complimentary return airport transfers between the airport and their hotel or residence in Bangkok (and outskirts), Chiang Mai downtown, Phuket, and Samui.
The airport service also includes priority immigration, which can save a lot of time when traveling through Bangkok. It allows members to bypass the regular lines and instead go directly to immigration, which only takes 30 minutes or so to process, compared to the hours non-members would spend in line. Elite visa holders also do not have to worry about renewals or submitting immigration paperwork. Immigration will complete a 90-day report for the member.
Another perk of the Thailand Privilege Card is that it does not have any minimum income or asset requirements. Unlike some other visas, this is not an employment-based visa and does not require a bank account. This flexibility makes it a great option for entrepreneurs and investors who want to move to Thailand to start a business or invest in the country. Elite members can even bring their family along.
