The iPhone offers a digital music player to listen to your favorite songs on the go. But, it can also get annoying to hear music all the time without being able to stop it.

There are a few ways to fix this issue. The first one is to quit the app completely.

Turn off Autoplay

If you’ve ever connected your iPhone to a car stereo, speaker, or AirPods and found yourself listening to music you don’t like, chances are it’s due to Autoplay. This feature automatically plays songs after a song is finished, even if you’ve chosen to stop playing that music.

It can be annoying when Apple Music keeps playing after the song you’re listening to is over, so it’s important to know how to turn off this feature. Luckily, there are a few ways to do it on your iOS device or Mac.

First, you can disable the Autoplay feature on your iPhone and Mac. It’s not as easy as turning off the music, but it can be done.

On the Mac, you can do this by clicking the Playing Next playlist and then tapping the Autoplay icon to disable it. This will also remove the Autoplay playlist and prevent the music from continuing to play when you’re not listening to it.

Another option is to disable the Handoff feature in your iPhone’s settings. This will stop the iPhone from automatically continuing the audio playback when it connects to a Bluetooth-enabled device such as a speaker or a car.

You can also turn off Automatic Ear Detection on your AirPods to stop them from playing automatically. This can be useful if you want to hear your phone’s notifications or alerts, but don’t want to have your music played when you’re not using it.

While it’s possible to turn off Autoplay on an iPhone, the best way to do it is to ask Apple to put in a Settings switch for this feature. This can be a pain, but it’s worth it in the long run to keep your car safe and peaceful while you listen to your favorite tunes.

Turn off Repeat

If you’re having trouble listening to a song on your iPhone and want it to stop playing, there are several ways to do this. One way is to turn off the repeat feature in the Music app.

When you use Apple Music or Spotify on your iPhone, the Repeat button is a simple and intuitive control that you can access by tapping the track that’s currently playing. When it’s turned on, the Repeat button will show a small “1” above it to let you know that the song is being repeated.

To turn it off, you can tap the same button and scroll down to see the Repeat Off option. You can also disable the Repeat feature using Siri on your iOS device by saying, “Hey Siri, turn off repeat.”

If you’re an Apple Watch Series 3 or later owner, the shuffle and repeat mode is now available in the Music App. To turn on the shuffle and repeat modes, you must connect your Apple Watch to your AirPods or Bluetooth headphones first.

Once you have the Apple Watch connected, open the Music App and select the song or album that you want to shuffle and repeat on your iPhone. Once you’re done, you can tap on the shuffle and repeat icons to toggle shuffle and repeat on and off, respectively.

Depending on your device, the repeat button will either be displayed in the Now Playing area of the Music app or in the Controls menu. The shuffle and repeat buttons are usually lit in blue to activate shuffle and blue to disable shuffle and repeat.

Turn off Timer

If you’re having problems with Apple Music or other music streaming apps showing up on your Lock Screen, there are a few things you can try to fix it. One of these is disabling the Music Widget from your iPhone Settings app.

If the problem is caused by a bug, you can also try force-rebooting your device. This will likely solve the issue and make the widget disappear from your Lock Screen.

Another possible cause of the Music Widget appearing on the Lock Screen is a recent iOS update. Generally, Apple releases new versions of its mobile OS about once every few weeks.

Even though these updates often improve user experience, they can still have bugs that aren’t immediately obvious. If the music widget is randomly popping up on your Lock Screen, it’s a good idea to check and see if there are any issues that are being introduced in this latest version of iOS.

While the music player widget on your iPhone is a useful feature, it can be frustrating to have it stuck on your lock screen when you’re not using it. It can be annoying to have to swipe down the Control Center from the top-right just to get to the Music app to force-close it, or to find out that the widget keeps on showing when you’re playing a song that’s already been played in the app.

Turn off Notifications

Notifications are an important part of using an iPhone, but in some cases, they can be overbearing. If you find that your notifications are causing you stress, it’s possible to turn off notifications for specific apps or groups of apps on your iPhone.

You can do this by turning off the Allow Notifications button in Settings for a particular app. This will turn off any push notifications the app sends and also disable sound and badge options if the app has them enabled.

Another way to silence notifications is to turn off the ring/silent switch on your phone. This is a hardware switch located on the left side of your phone, just above the volume buttons.

When you press this switch, it will put your phone into silent mode, which is great for making sure that you can get to sleep without worrying about alerts.

Turn off iCloud Music Library

iCloud Music Library is a fantastic way to access your music library across all of your Apple devices signed into the same iCloud account. It’s a great tool for anyone with an Apple Music subscription or iTunes Match, and it can make storing and streaming music a lot easier than ever before. However, it’s not perfect, and it can sometimes cause issues.

Fortunately, you can disable iCloud Music Library on your iPhone, Mac or PC. While this will remove any saved Apple Music songs from your library, it won’t affect other music files that you’ve synced to iCloud from your iTunes library.

To disable iCloud Music Library on your iPhone, open the Settings app and scroll down to the iCloud section. Tap the toggle next to Sync Library, and then choose Turn Off.

You can also disable iCloud Music Library on your Mac or PC by opening iTunes and clicking Preferences from the menu bar. You’ll see a box that says “iCloud Music Library,” uncheck it, and then click OK.
