The Dometic FreshJet FJX3000 is the latest generation of refurbished rv refrigerators rooftop air conditioners that are designed to be quieter, more efficient and more powerful than similar products in the market. The new unit features a custom blower system that provides more airflow, pushing air further and faster than ever before to cool RVs quicker.
This new generation of air conditioners also features a custom Air Distribution Box that provides consistent front to back airflow to evenly distribute the cool air throughout the RV. The new units are much more energy efficient than previous models, and the FreshJet series features a built-in remote control that allows you to adjust both temperature and fan speed from the comfort of your own vehicle.
Dometic has been a leader in the field of absorption cooling technology since 1922. They have a wide range of products that are used in campers, motorhomes and boats across the world. Their products are mainly manufactured in Europe and the Americas where RV products form a significant part of their business.
The Dometic Group is an international family owned company with over 6000 employees worldwide. The company is dedicated to bringing comfort and mobility together in the form of RV appliances, such as furnaces, air conditioners, stoves, water heaters and refrigerators.
Sodium Chromate (Na2CrO4) is the anticorrosion agent that Dometic uses in its absorption cooling units and refrigerators to protect the carbon steel cooling system from corrosion. It is a substance that is included in Annex XIV because it is carcinogenic, mutagenic and toxic for reproduction.
It is currently being tested as an alternative to Sodium Chromate and is known as inhibitor 7. This is a chemical compound that has a different mechanism of corrosion inhibition than sodium chromate.
However, there are still some technical issues with this new substance which make it difficult to verify its function. For this reason, it is important to thoroughly test the substitute to be sure that it will not cause premature refrigerant leaks.
This means that the substitute would not be able to protect the cooling unit from corrosion in higher boiler temperatures. As a result, the use of this substitute could increase the risk of premature refrigerant leaks in the RV.
Dometic’s research and development of this alternative to sodium chromate has been extensive, including data searches, internal and external co-operation as well as contacts with commercial companies. In addition, Dometic’s production engineers have conducted long-term testing on a wide range of products to verify that this alternative is suitable for use.
