As a composer, pianist, and teacher, he has performed and recorded internationally, receiving awards such as the First Prize in Composition from the Atheneaum Conservatory, the Toru Takemitsu Award at New England Conservatory, and the University of Pennsylvania’s Dean’s Scholar and George Crumb Fellowship. He has also cofounded several music series including Pentiment, a monthly free-improvisation concert in Boston. His piano work includes recordings on NotArt records, and he is a founding member of the improvisational duo Ponticular with pianist Benjamin Lazar Davis.

In a career spanning over two decades, he has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and Comedy Central’s Roast of Jerry Springer. He also hosted a variety of TV shows including Armed and Famous, The Second City’s Next Comedy Legend, and the WCW reality competition Extreme Smackdown!, where he served as the host and contact between the contestants and judges.

He also competed on the second season of The Celebrity Apprentice and was a regular guest host on Raw, where he frequently clashed with the Raw Women’s Champion Lita. Towards the end of her time on Raw, he lost a match to Sheamus by interference from LayCool (Layla & Michelle McCool). He would return at WrestleMania XXVII, where she was forced to forfeit her title match against Jazz because of injury. Afterwards, she was attacked by her storyline husband Kane and almost chokeslammed onto the stage, but Viscera saved her.

In addition to his work in the arts, he is also an experienced software engineer who has worked in the areas of data analytics and machine learning. He is currently the CEO of the open source data-driven analytics company Stratis, which develops a blockchain-based solution for business intelligence and predictive modeling. In his role as CEO, he has built an international team of over 100 talented and experienced individuals. His vision for Stratis is to provide a platform that bridges the gap between the specialized world of blockchain and the corporate world.
